Business and Professional Women International is an international organization operating in over 80 countries worldwide.

The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Port Moresby is an affiliate of the BPW International organisation. It was established in 1982 with the purpose of providing scholarships for disadvantaged women and girls to continue their education.

Dame Carol Kidu was a founding member. She is now the Club Patron and has remained a fully paid member.

Club members generate income for scholarships through fundraising activities such as the annual International Women’s Day Breakfast, raffles, donations, sponsorships and CEO’s Independence Ball
